Apple Releases Their Own Patches

Following Microsoft's Patch Tuesday this week, Apple has released an update to address 134 bugs and vulnerabilities in the Mac OSX operating system. This beats their previous record of over 90 vulnerabilities back in March of this year.

The sheer number of issues covered by this latest round of patches just reinforces that the commonly held belief that Macs are somehow above being hacked or containing vulnerabilities is a mere myth.

The Update is between 240MB and 645MB in size and some have reported problems after installing the patches. Some have said that they were unable to connect to 802.11n wireless networks following the update, and users of PGP's Whole Disk Encryption software have reported that they couldn't boot up after installing the patches.
