What is the difference in Disaster Recovery and a Business Continuity Plan?

A Disaster Recovery Plan tends to refer to the process in which you resume business after a disastrous event, such as a tornado, terrorist attack, or a virus infection. Since most people like to be optimistic, business owners gravitate toward a Business Continuity Plan which encompasses challenges that business may experience on a more routine basis, like departure of key personnel, supply chain partner problems, or network outages. So in many cases they are used interchangeably, they both focus on making money during and after a crisis.
