Windows Live Mail Setup

Back to Email Client Setups

  • Open Windows Live Mail.
  • Go to the Tools Menu.
  • Select the Accounts option.

Click the Add button

Choose Email Account and click Next

Enter in your Email address and password. Then type in a Display Name. This can be anything you like. Type it in as you would like to appear. Check the box that says Manually configure server settings for e-mail account and click Next.

Your incoming mail server is a POP3 server. Type mail.yourdomain.com for both Incoming server and Outgoing server. Log on using: should be set to Clear text authentication. Check the box that says Outgoing server requires authentication and change the outgoing server Port from 25 to 587 then click Next.

Click Finish and Windows Live Mail is now setup. You can start using your email account.
