Using Hosted Exchange in Outlook requires installing Microsoft Outlook 2007 or Microsoft Outlook 2010. Microsoft Outlook can be purchased in the Microsoft Office package or by itself at most retail stores. Some examples include computer stores, electronic stores, or department stores.

Once installed, there is an Exchange account limitation in Microsoft Outlook 2007 that is not present in Outlook 2010. Outlook 2007 will only allow for one Exchange account to be set up. Outlook 2010 does not have this limitation and will allow for any number of Exchange accounts to be set up.

To configure Hosted Exchange in Outlook there are a few differences when starting the set up in Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010.
Using Outlook 2007 click Tools and then Account Settings.

Using Outlook 2010 click file Account Settings and then Account Settings again.

There are no more differences in setting up Hosted Exchange in Outlook 2007 or 2010. After clicking Account Settings a window will appear that looks like this.

After the Account Settings window has appeared and looks like the above image. Click on New to set up a Hosted Exchange account.

Fill in the blanks with your information to look like the above picture and then click Next.

Microsoft Outlook will search and find the settings for the Hosted Exchange account. This may take a few minutes to complete. Once it completes you will see a Congratulations screen. Click the Finish button and you will have completed the setup.

With Hosted Exchange you are viewing the messages right from the server. Your messages and folders are on the server and able to be viewed from all your computers and via webmail.
