Apple's Turn To Release Security Patches

Macs are often perceived as being safe from hacks and viruses. This is a false perception. While it is true that there are less hacks and viruses found on Macs than on Windows PCs, it's more so because the majority of users are on Windows PCs and so they make a much bigger target.

This week it was Apple's turn to release some security updates. These security updates patch 13 vulnerabilities within OS X. Six of these are listed as being able to be exploited to run unauthorized software on a Mac.

Even though these patches are for a Mac, it's always a good idea to install the security updates as soon as possible.
